Lisa Baechtle
Hi!
My world, my passion, is rooted in natural law, and the fauna and flora of wilderness are the symbols that rise from my imagination.
I draw inspiration from my time spent in the forest. As the seasons come and go, I relish the opportunity to witness wildlife activity by their direct presence or evidence of passing through. Having a relationship with place tells me a story as trees grow, wither, fall, are blown down, change with each season. New habitats are created and destroyed. Critters move in and move out. The fauna and flora of the forests surrounding the Finger Lakes of upstate New York have been my teachers.
For the past 40 years or so, I have painted animals symbolically and as portraiture. Please visit my website to find out more…….
