Description
The Chinook Salmon ranges from San Diego, Ca to the Bering Sea and Japan. Juvenile fish live in fresh water rivers for up to 2 years before migrating to the Pacific Ocean. Here the fish spend up to 7 years growing until an unknown signal tells them to return to their "home" river system, where they spawn before dying to continue the cycle of life.
