Timothy Angell

In 1984 Tim Angell received a BFA Degree in painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art with a minor in printmaking. Furthering his education, he received an MFA in sculpture from Cranbrook Academy in 1990.

Over the years drawing has remained his method of choice for developing ideas and creating images.

Since 1998, Tim has often worked with botanical subjects. His pictures are created either in pencil or pencil combined with watercolor, gouache or ink. He currently alternates between subjects depicted on stark backgrounds or immersed within fields of tone created with paints and pencil.
