Meghan Kennedy
Meghan paints with gesso and acrylic paint on heavy water color paper. She works intimately with her pieces, manipulating each painting with a variety of tools to give them unique textures and subtle dimension.
Meghan has been inspired by some of the places she has visited and lived in, including the US Southwest, Africa, India, and Australia. She is intrigued by the rich colors of the earth and the enigmas of ancient cultures that we will never fully understand. Her art reflects that sense of mystery.
Meghan is also drawn to the whimsical, and to the simple beauty of animals, plants, and all of nature. She hopes the viewer experiences some of the joy and wonder that inspires her painting.
Meghan Kennedy currently lives in Ithaca, NY.
